About Brother Mobile Solutions

Brother International Corporation, a leading manufacturer of high quality printing devices for home and office, acquired the mobility products division of the Pentax Imaging Company on August 29, 2008. This new organization is called Brother Mobile Solutions, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brother International. The merging of mobile product lines will enable Brother Mobile Solutions to provide a unique family of printing and scanning solutions to mobile professionals in a wide range of field operations. This new product family currently includes four models of the ultraportable small-format MPrint and two models of the rugged full-page PocketJet® portable printers, plus the DSmobile® 600 portable document scanner. These products are especially valuable for field workers in sales and service, retail and route delivery, law enforcement, mobile healthcare, and just about any industry that can benefit from on-demand mobile printing, where work requires small, tough products for challenging work situations. A new pocket-sized printer called the PocketJet using full-sheet thermal printing technology was released in 1994 for the mobile computing market to celebrate PENTAX’s 75th anniversary. Current products include an expanded product line for the mobile computing market including fleet deployments and governmental agencies and even faster production laser printers.
